Verbal report of the Chief Executive.

The Chief Executive informed committee that following discussions regarding the current situation with the Covid 19 pandemic there were two reasons why the date of the next Council meeting scheduled for 27 July 2021 might be postponed –

·         For the safety of both staff and councillors, and

·         Self-isolation rules where the function of the Council might be severely hampered should this be required following the meeting.

It was suggested that the meeting be postponed to 17 August 2021 when the rules for self-isolation should have changed, and that an alternative venue be sought so that social distancing can be maintained whatever the self-isolation rules were at the time.

RESOLVED THAT COMMITTEE:

Agree to postpone the date of the Council meeting from 27 July 2021 to 17 August 2021 and that an alternative venue be sought to hold the meeting.
